Featured Dog - RUFUS!
This handsome lad is Rufus. He’s a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, with an approximate DOB of July 2024. We’re just getting to know our new friend, and we already appreciate his wonderful combination of traits: smart and silly; playful and gentle; quiet, yet curious and ready to be part of the action. Sadly, he was dumped in the country and lived outdoors for more than a month. He’s adjusting well to life indoors and enjoys meeting our volunteers. He appears eager to learn. Genera

Featured Cat - FREDDIE!
Hi! My name is Freddie. I have lived and survived on my own my entire life (I am 6 years old). And boy do I have the scraps, scars, and battle wounds to show for it! Once I hurt my back leg, I decided I could no longer “do life” without help. So I started hanging around a vet clinic. Smart, huh? They eventually noticed me (and my injuries and hurt leg) and took me in. I receive a lot of medical care there (including a complete dental cleaning), as well as a lot of love. The v

Featured Dog - ROXY!
Roxy is a little doll. It’s hard to imagine her dumped and living outdoors. What is wrong with some people? Don’t answer that, just keep reading about this lovely little girl. Roxy is small in size, with a sweet and shy disposition. We’re guessing she’s a Whippet mixed with a Pointer? Or maybe mixed with a Heeler? Who cares? What matters is that she has a freckly face and is ready to wiggle her way into your heart. And she looks so cute in her winter coat! Roxy keeps her crat

Featured Cat - JETT!
Hi! My name is Jett! I was once owned by humans but when they moved, they left me behind. (I have no idea why because I’m very sweet and don’t cause any trouble!) Luckily a kind neighbor recognized my plight, cared for me, and brought me to a nice shelter so I could find a forever home. While I am named for my sleek black coat, the name “Jett” is also associated with speed and being cool and confident. That’s me! I love to run around and play. And I have remained “cool” and un

Featured Cat - SINBAD!
Hi! My name is Sinbad. I was rescued from a hoarding situation, but that did not alter my friendly, sweet, and laid-back personality. I am a little shy, so anyone who adopts me will need to be patient as I adjust to my new surroundings. Unlike the sailor I was named after, I do not seek adventure nor do I have any desire to roam the Seven Seas. I just want a place to call my forever home and humans to call my forever people. The only exploring I want to do is to find the most

Featured Dog - EMILIA!
Our girl Emilia is under 50lbs with a playful spirit and the sweetest face. She is active in the best way (not too much, just the perfect amount of fun-loving). At one point, Emilia thrived in day care with other dogs her size; however, she has since become selective about her canine companions. Is it the shelter environment, or has she refined her tastes? We cannot say. Potential adopters who have another dog about her size should plan on a meet-and-greet (or two). Also, due

Featured Cat - JIT!
This pretty little girl was found hanging out on the deck of a kind family. The kids enjoyed her visits and even named her, Jit, which is slang for "kid", (who knew? Jits these days)! They realized how friendly she was but weren't able to keep her themselves so called on us to help find her a forever home. Jit is not only striking with her beautiful black coat, but sweet and friendly. She loves affection and always looks forward to the love and attention from the volunteers.

Featured Dog - ZOEY!
In general, German Shepherds possess traits that include being protective, loyal, and smart. Our Zoey embodies all those traits and more. Obviously gorgeous, she is also extremely intelligent and ready to serve as a loyal companion. Specifically, Zoey is kennel trained and is happiest with her squeaky toys. The squeakier the better. She’ll entertain you for hours! Zoey is also loud. If you’ve ever loved a GS, you may be familiar with their breed vocalizations. In fact, Zoey i

He then called on us to help him find this adorable couple a new home, together, forever! Railee was "rail" thin when she was rescued from a hoarding situation. She's now a healthy beautiful girl. She's playful, loves mass
