Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS) is turning 25 this year, and we have all kinds of events and activities planned to celebrate!
Established in 1999 to provide a haven for homeless cats and dogs, FOPAS started with humble beginnings near the railroad tracks and grew into a movement that has rescued thousands. We rescue the stray and discarded pets who have found their way to "The Little Shelter That Does" and they, in turn, rescue our hearts.
As we honor the past 25 years devoted to animal rescue, a variety of special events are in the
works. Please join us as we raise funds for the care of our furry friends. You’ll find the events
updated regularly on our website (www.parkvilleshelter.com). Also, on the 25th of each month we will post a social media fundraiser (www.parkvilleshelter.com/25th). For each $25 you donate that month, you will receive one entry for a monthly drawing. Each month, we will draw 2 tickets from the entries and the winner will receive an artist rendering of their pet. With each monthly fundraiser, we start over. In December, in the spirit of giving, we will draw 3 tickets! That’s 25 portraits, celebrating our 25 years. When you support FOPAS, you help to provide a safety net for animals in need. At FOPAS, we believe creating real-life Happily Ever After stories is what we do best. Together, we have
reunited lost pets with their families; educated young people that their efforts make a positive difference; helped the public understand the importance of spay/neuter and heartworm prevention; and matched thousands of families with the cat or dog best suited to their home.
We rely on dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and a caring community to meet the needs of the animals in our care. Thank you for your kindness.

February 10 ~ Chocolate 4 Paws, 5:00PM-7:30PM at Weatherby Lake Community Center,
includes chocolate, savory snacks, raffles, games, a silent auction, and more. Fun (and delicious) for all ages!
April 27 ~ FOPAS Luncheon: Purse Dogs & Cat Clutches, 11:30AM-2:00PM at iWerx in NKC, includes luncheon, raffle items, and more!
May-September ~ FOPAS Yard Sales are the third Thursday & Friday of the month.
Fall ~ Online Auction
