Capital Campaign
Goal of the Capital Campaign: To raise $1.5 Million to build a new permanent shelter.
On January 24, Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter kicked off the 2008 Capital Campaign with the Homeward Bound benefit which raised $40,000.00.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by Bentley Guitar Studio. Tanna Guthrie auctioned 17 fabulous items, including wine tasting partys and a private tour of the Missouri State Capitol with Representative Jason Grill, who attended the event.
The chefs and staff of Bonefish Grill prepared and served appetizers in the round dining room where an exquisite arrangement by Parkville Floral was the center of attention. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory- Tuileries Plaza provided a sampling of chocolates and apples dipped in chocolate designed especially for FOPAS to look like cats and dogs. River Rock Coffee Company served desserts and coffee, and Constant Cravings provided melt in your mouth fudge. Wines by Jennifer and JK Wine Distributors poured a sampling of white wines, while North Kansas City Beverage Company provided a selection of their beers. Guests also received a doggie bag of treats provided by Barkville Pet Boutique.
Homeward Bound was underwritten by The Welch Family Foundation, Nutro, Design Build-Jack Stadler and Triad Media Inc.
