Adoption Procedures

  1. A pre-adoption form MUST be filled out and approved by two volunteers. You may download, print and complete the form, then contact the shelter if you wish to adopt a dot or cat.

  2. The F.O.P.A.S. contract must be completed, initialed, and signed.
  3. The adoption fee for dogs is $125. For cats, $100 for the first cat and 50% off the second. Senior cats (5 years or older) adopted to a senior citizen (60 years or older) are half price.
  4. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm tested, and up to date on prevention prior to adoption.
  5. If adoption is "Foster to Adopt," a partial refund will be issued if the pet is returned before the pet's adoption is finalized.
  6. kittenAll pit bull adoptions require a home visit, and we reserve the right to request a visit for any other pet if we feel it is necessary.
